Ismael Kuidé (Saxophoniste) Submerged in the music world since childhood, Ismael Kuidé exhibits raw talent in which few can compare. Having the support and coaching from his mother, an accomplished piano teacher, by 10, Ismael was already a skilled pianist and flutist. As a young child, Ismael attended his first jazz concert where he became hypnotized by of the power of a saxophone. Unable to shake the feeling, Ismael spent the next two years begging his mother to play. She finally conceded and Ismael picked up a saxophone for the first time – and he’s yet to put it down. In 2002 Kuidé graduated from the renowned School of Jazz and Contemporary Music (Ecole de Jazz et de Musique Actuelle) in Lausanne, Switzerland. As Kuidés style becomes more refined, begins transitioning away from classical jazz into a musical realm perplexed with undertones of soul, funk, ska and reggae. Since bursting into the music scene, Ismael has graced and captivated crowds in some of the chicest establishments in Switzerland, France, Spain, The Dominican Republic, and Italy. From D! Club, MOA Club, Living Room Roma, Amnesia Club, Boat of Mad, Festival of Cully, Sip Geneva, Red Sail, Gstaad Palace, Montreux Jazz Festival, Alcatraz (Milan) Kepinsky Hotel, Deep Club, Globule to Bull Mad, Ismael’s style, sound, finesse and energy is beyond compare. Recognizing his innate talent, Ismael has performed alongside with musical talents such as Thierry K-ko and Angel Cielo, Martin Solveig (Africanisme, Paris) and DJ Antoine (House works, Basel) DJ of F2H, Djaimin, DJ James Deron, Mister Mike, CK DJ and with DJ Madfunk, With his saxophone Alto Ismael Kuidé brings a touch of jazz to beats of funk, house and electro, transforming the mix into a sound purity and pleasure.
